Social media is not my thing. If I want someone to know something, I tell them, but I don't like to broadcast anything in a forum that is searchable. Hence, if you want to get to know me, please reach out to start a discussion. I love to travel, and have been around the world. In retirement, I intend to spend as much time as possible traveling and am hoping to find someone interested in joining my adventure. I love to eat, complimented by a good adult beverage. I go to a lot of "tasting" events or locations, and find them to be a lot of fun. Some of the more adventurous stuff can be a little gross, but I'll give it a try. I love the outdoors. A good hike is a day well spent. I also rock and ice climb, when I have the opportunity. I enjoy skiing, downhill and cross country. Winterpark in CO is my favorite place to ski. I also love the water. I'm a master diver, and try to log as many dives as possible each year. My favorite dives were in Fiji. I have five kayaks (2 for white water), and think nothing is better than ending my day paddling in the water (with a bottle of wine between ********). While I am good about making time for myself, my children (2) are my everything. I waited until later in life for kids, but enjoy every second I have with them now. They are amazing and a joy to be with. Plus, I am certain they keep me young. Before kids, I thought I would never retire, but now, I want to retire so that I have more time with them. I work too much, but am trying to scale back because of the kids. Pre-kids, I regularly pulled all nighters working, but not anymore. A 100 hour week was nothing. I've cut back to about 60 hours, but am looking to cut further. My job is great, which is why I don't mind the hours, but my kids come first. While I've never been married, I'm just coming out of a very very long term relationship with the father of my children. The break is amicable, but still tough because of the kids. It's been a long time since I have dated, and the whole internet thing is strange to me, but between work and the kids, I don't have a lot of opportunities to meet eligible bachelors. I'm not looking for a hook-up, I want a partner in life. I need someone that is adventurous, positive, and fun, yet endearing.
